Do You Know the Labouchere Betting System?

Does Doctor Jackpot finally share a betting system that will always work with you? Well, I would do this instantly, but I can’t, simply because there is no system that will win players money in roulette in the long run.

The Labouchere system is similar to the Martingale system (where you double up your bets each time you lose). It’s a progression betting strategy like the martingale but does not require you to risk your stake as quickly with those dramatic double-ups. The Labouchere System involves using a series of numbers in a line to determine the bet amount, following a win or a loss. Typically, you would add the numbers at the front and end of the line to determine the size of the next bet. When you win, you cross out numbers and continue working on the smaller line. If you lose, then you add your previous bet to the end of the line and continue to work on the longer line. This is a much more flexible progression betting system and there is much room for you to design his initial line to your own playing preference.

This system is one that is designed so that when you have won over a third of your bets (less than the expected 18/38), you will win. Whereas the Martingale system will cause ruin in the event of a long sequence of successive losses, the Labouchere system will cause the bet size to grow quickly even where a losing sequence is broken by wins. This occurs because as the player loses, the average bet size in the line increases. For a more in-depth explanation of this system, please read this Wikipedia article.

If you love playing with new betting systems, you could try this out with a small amount of money. As always, you’ll not be able to win in the long run, but at least you have learned something new.

Good luck!
